Aleppo plans Earth Day cleanup

Sewickley Herald – Last year, 22 people collected 45 bags of trash during Aleppo Township’s Earth Day cleanup, and about 90 people volunteered to plant 1,000 trees at Bouchard Family Park. The events will occur again this year, beginning at 9 a.m. April 27, and organizers hope to attract at least as many volunteers as last year. A representative from the commercial waste management company RoadRunner Recycling will kick off Aleppo’s third annual Earth Day cleanup at the township municipal building by giving volunteers a short presentation about recycling changes.
